Dale Meyer Trucking Company of Odessa, Texas is looking for a CLASS A CDL OILFIELD PIPE HAULER to join our team. We are looking for a responsible and qualified driver who can transport oilfield pipe and materials to and from specified job locations. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment as required. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs.? Key Duties and Responsibilities Follow the Dale Meyer Trucking Company Standard Operating Procedure to safely load and deliver tubulars from our storage facilities in Odessa, TX to drilling and production locations around the Permian Basin and surrounding areas. Comply with customer safety requirements while on their locations. Wear the provided and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas at all times. The ability to prepare Bill of Lading with correct count and description of materials hauled. Must maintain DOT truck log, according to state and federal regulations. Must maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor or dispatch to receive delivery or pick-up instructions. When not driving, must be willing to assist with other tasks, such as helping on location, assisting other drivers in loading, unloading and securement of loads. Work as directed on location. Must be able to maneuver in tight oilfield locations in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct a comprehensive pre and post trip vehicle and equipment inspection and take appropriate action on encountered problems. Must inspect truck safety equipment such as fire extinguisher, first aid kit, straps, chains, ratchets, and replace, as necessary. Must have knowledge of properly securing cargo during transit that meets or exceeds CVSA requirements. This position is accountable for continuous improvement in all areas of assigned responsibility relative to quality, cost, and timing results. Responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the trucking department with a particular emphasis on working with fellow personnel. Ensures excellent service levels, low transactional cost, superior quality levels and safety, security and housekeeping objectives are achieved.

Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Five (5) or more years of verifiable driving experience. Must possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A license and proper endorsements for the type of CMV to be driven. No DWI or DUI Alcohol/Drug convictions within the previous 5 years. No reckless driving or excessive speeding tickets, or failure to appear. Applicants must successfully pass FMCSA Road Test which will include a proper pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicles. Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must be 25 years of age or older. Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Must be enrolled in the FMCSA Clearinghouse Program. MVR must meet company, insurance, and DOT standards. Display a professional and courteous attitude towards customers, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Follow DOT, FMCSA, CVSA, and OSHA regulations. Physical Requirements This position requires you to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry at least eighty (80)pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to walk on uneven ground. Must be able to work in an oilfield environment.
