Dale Meyer Trucking Company of Odessa, Texas is looking for a PIPEYARD FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our team. We are looking for a responsible and qualified FORKLIFT OPERATOR who can operate an eight (8) ton articulating forklift. (Front-end loading). This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment as required. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs. This is a fast-paced working environment. As a Pipeyard Forklift Operator you will be responsible for loading/ unloading tubular goods from flatbed trailers in the Pipeyard. Your ability to follow proper directions and the ability to store pipe on racks and strip load pipe is required.

Qualifications and Responsibilities • High School Diploma or GED • Two (2) years of front-end articulating forklift experience is required. • Ability to obtain a current front-end forklift certification. (OSHA) • No DWI or DUI Alcohol/Drug convictions within the previous 5 years. • No reckless driving or excessive speeding tickets, or failure to appear. • Applicants must successfully pass a skills test on tubular pipe handling. • Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations. • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. • Must be 25 years of age or older. • Must pass drug screen and criminal background check. • MVR must meet company, insurance, and state requirements. • Display a professional and courteous attitude towards customers, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.. • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. • Follow Dale Meyer Safety policies and OSHA regulations. Physical Requirements • This position requires you to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions. • Must be able to lift and carry at least eighty (80)pounds on an occasional basis. • Must be able to walk on uneven ground. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
