Dale Meyer Trucking Company of Odessa, Texas is looking for a FIELD FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our team. We are looking for a responsible and qualified FORKLIFT OPERATOR who can operate an eight (8) ton articulating forklift. (Front-end loading). This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment as required. Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, free from direct supervision except for more complicated jobs. This is a fast-paced working environment. As a Field Forklift Operator you will be responsible for loading/ unloading tubular goods from our flatbed trailers while on the customer’s location. Your ability to follow proper directions and the knowledge of the different grades and sizes of tubulars will be beneficial to achieve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Responsibilities • High School Diploma or GED • Five (5) or more years of verifiable driving experience. • Five (5) years of front-end articulating forklift experience is required. • Ability to obtain a current front-end forklift certification. (OSHA) • Must possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A license and proper endorsements for the type of CMV to be driven. • No DWI or DUI Alcohol/Drug convictions within the previous 5 years. • No reckless driving or excessive speeding tickets, or failure to appear. • Applicants must successfully pass FMCSA Road Test which will include a proper pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicles. • Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations. • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. • Must be 25 years of age or older. • Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check. • Must be enrolled in the FMCSA Clearinghouse Program. • MVR must meet company, insurance, and DOT standards. • Display a professional and courteous attitude towards customers, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. • Follow DOT, FMCSA, CVSA, and OSHA regulations. Physical Requirements • This position requires you to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions. • Must be able to lift and carry at least eighty (80)pounds on an occasional basis. • Must be able to walk on uneven ground. • Must be able to work in an oilfield environment.
