A Car Hauler is responsible for the safe and secure transport of vehicles, including loading, unloading, and ensuring they arrive without damage. They may also interact with customers and handle paperwork. Additionally, they drive auto haulers to move multiple vehicles at once, drive to delivery locations, and pick up vehicles from customers. Key Responsibilities: Driving: Operating a car hauler truck, often over long distances. Loading and Securing: Properly loading vehicles onto the hauler and securing them to prevent movement or damage. Unloading: Safely removing vehicles from the hauler at the delivery location. Communication: Communicating with dispatchers and customers regarding schedules and potential issues. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, vehicle conditions, and any incidents. Safety: Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and monitoring road conditions. Basic Maintenance: Performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the hauler equipment. Customer Interaction: Interacting with customers, especially when picking up or delivering vehicles.

Must have a good driving record Valid state-issued commercial driver’s license Class A (CDL) Required, 2 year prior driving experience preferred Driving record with no more than 6 penalty points within the last three years No driving-related suspensions or revocations in the past 5 years Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and road test Ability to meet DOT-mandated medical qualification requirements Lift heavy objects and winch transported vehicles during the loading process Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Good communication skills Primarily working in an outdoor environment; may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions
